Announcement of AKHSS Admissions for Grade VIII

The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan, has announced the commencement of admissions for Grade VIII for the Academic Session 2026 in the Secondary Schools of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, which are affiliated with the Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB). These schools have consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in the Board’s national-level examinations since their inception.

Candidates who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidate must be studying in Grade VII or Grade VIII during the Academic Session 2025.
2. The candidate’s age must not be less than 12 years and not more than 14 years as of March 31, 2026. (The candidate’s date of birth must be between March 31, 2012, and March 31, 2014).
   

   Note: A relaxation of two months in the minimum or maximum age limit may be granted.

3. The candidate must submit the following documents with the application:
   • Birth Certificate or Form B for age verification.
   • School Leaving/Enrolment/Withdrawal Certificate from the previous school, attested by the Registrar.

   Note: If there is any discrepancy in the candidate’s age, the application will be put on hold until verification is complete.

Admission Test Details

• The Admission Test will be computer-based.
• The questions will be of the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) type.
• Negative Marking will be applicable: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

• Before the main Admission Test, all shortlisted candidates will be allowed to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test environment by taking a Mock Test (Trial Test).
• The details regarding the dates and timings of the Mock Test and the Main Test will be provided to all shortlisted candidates via telephone.
• Only those candidates who meet the above-mentioned admission criteria will be eligible to appear in the test.
• Incomplete forms or forms containing incorrect information will be rejected.

Willing candidates can obtain the application form from the following offices during office hours starting from November 7, 2025, and can submit them back to the same locations by November 29, 2025.
